I first asked my mother about her beliefs towards homosexuality. After understanding her perspective, I told her about my sexuality. Then I brought my girlfriend home for dinner. When my father was suspicious of our relationship, I staunchly expressed that she was a great girlfriend and that I am a lesbian.
